| One message I would have loved hearing at CS King's funeral yesterday |
|
Was: Let us ALL make a pledge that those hard-won voting rights, that some gave their lives for, will never be taken so lightly again as to allow another election to be stolen out from under us. Because, let's face it, if Martin was alive in the year 2000, he would have called us all out on the streets of Florida and throughout the land, to stop the illegitimate Coronation of the man sitting and smirking behind me. And Coretta would probably be right by his side.

| 1. For a while I actually thought election fraud was going to be |
|
addressed.
But the talk ended up being about registering to vote, and showing up to vote, to "never be too tired" (or something) to get out and vote.
I forget the name of the gentleman who gave the speech, but he had me going for a time.
Oh well.

| 2. Yes, that's right, and a family member also kinda went there, but |
|
stopped short. I know that big chunks of that crowd would have gone Crazy! That would have been the direct hit I was looking for that might have smacked that smirk off his face. But then again, as that other great thread has stated, probably not. Sadist that he is.....
