Need some facts regarding Patriot Act for LTTE

I am writing in response to this garbage::

In response to “Lincoln Comparison.” I found the comparison of President Bush to Hitler highly offensive. You claim that Bush has limited the freedoms of every American since 9/11 yet you fail to name one instance where this is the case. The Bush Administration has placed surveillance on known terrorist groups and those who have ties to these organizations. Since September 12, 2001, the president has made homeland security his number one priority in order to protect the public from more attacks on innocent Americans. The federal government has neither the manpower nor the patience to listen in on your mundane conversations. Lose your paranoia!
