3. The "British" never operated our Ports a company did.

The British do not own and run their companies. They are private firms that operate under similar practices as our American corporation. The UAE, on the other hand, owns and operates the company that will operate our ports. I think this is a big difference. It is like Communist China owning and operating our ports.

The problem with these "free trade" supporters in the administration is that they don't realize we are Not on a level playing fields. Countries like the UAE and China do not allow their wealth or control to go to individuals. Their companies run as an extension of their government. So if the UAE government decided that no Jews could use their facilities, than guess what, it would apply to our UAE controlled ports as well. If the UAE government decided that hiring known members of the Taliban into their government was OK, than guess what, it would apply to our UAE controlled ports as well. A country can tell another country that it will not follow the laws of that country, but a private firm cannot and must follow the contractual agreements.

And many do, but inevitably they are prosecuted when they are discovered. Something tells me that if this company does get the contract, they'll be under serious scrutiny for everything by all of the people who didn't want them here to begin with.

I have often heard 9/11 used as an argument against the UAE owning our ports. I am against any foreign country owning our ports because we have Americans jobless who can do those jobs. But 9/11 was MIHOP. So keeping the UAE out because of 9/11 is ridiculous. Bushco is just lining its pockets with rich UAE oil money, plain and simple.
