| I'm watching C-Span and I'm listening to the kool-aid drinkers call in |
|

and lambaste the D-Senator from NJ.
I don't know how DUers can be so BLIND and think that we as DU are anywhere near CLOSE to what the regular Joe thinks about things.
The kool-aid drinkers are CRAZY AS HELL and they don't know SHIT and they don't wanna know SHIT and you aren't going to be able to learn them SHIT.
The mutherfukers calling in were all about giving our ports to the Dubai government. That is disappointing and sickening @ best. OMFG. These fuckers like the fact that our government is selling our ports controlled by a company that is a foreign government who assisted with the transfer of cash to the 9/11 hijackers. WHAT!?!??!?!?!?!
It is almost as if BushCo has antenna sending out the kool-aid signal 24/7. They don't mind @ all. They are upset that we're going to make the Dubai government upset. WTF did that come from?
I was thinking last night and the senator said this morning well if you are o.k. with this then why not have the Dubai government run the airports! And they still keep calling in saying that we need to be open for business and shit and that there isn't a problem with it. They have the nerve to say that well the Brits are running them so what is wrong when an Arab coming along? WHAT? These are the same fuckers who were vandalizing mosques after 9/11.
Ya'll we are no where near mainstream. NO...WHERE...FUCKING...NEAR... Yeah it is great we read and all and we know shit but how do you fight a war against mindless robots. I watched C-Span to get some intelligent news and all I got was fucking DEPRESSED.
The rank and file could give a shit and practically love this thing and think that just the Democrats are making political Hay for this thing.
I don't know about y'all but I'm giving up and going back into my la-la land mentality. I'm sick of politic ts. I'm heading back to the lounge where I was before Katrina.
Peace-OUT
Oh and one more point...weren't there people a part of the Dubai system who helped those caught ship-bombers escape...that's all I'm sayin.

Republicans have a phone bank somewhere in northern Virginia stocked with people whose job is to call up shows like C-SPAN and cite Republican talking points. They like to trot them out in particular when the administration is trying to win back support. This might be one of those cases.

that if people think that there are lots of Repubs supporting it they may rethink their own position and start believing the talking points. That's the whole point of astroturfing. I'm hoping that it doesn't work this time. I'm thinking that it won't. I doubt that large numbers of koolaid drinkers watch C-Span.

It seems to me there have been far more calls opposed to the deal, even by self-declared Repugs. I suspect today's call-ins might be the result of some organized effort. And a 34 percent approval rating doesn't indicate that pro-Bush views are too mainstream.

. . .CSPAN gives them an overstated voice, because if 34% of the country thinks he's doing a good job, then the calls on the "suppport silverspoon" line should be 1/3rd of the calls, not half of them. Yet, they move through the lines trying to give "balance" when they're actually doing the opposite. The Professor

| 11. mainstream 'merica is still too fearful to support the port deals |
|
what you see on c-span is M$S / corporate free trade rallying. The UAE is basically anti-terrorism, uber elitist. Al-Quida hate the UAE more then 'Merica, cause these Muslims have sold out to the west.
The MSM / free traders have an uphill battle. They have 45 days to un-do 5 years of hate / fear mongering. You are either with us or against us. Um, the UAE is with us, but had ties to 9-11. UAE has ties to shady folks...
There are good people in the UAE. It is up to the msm to make the case for this. Not all UAE citizens are responsible for 9-11. M$M has 45 days to make this case. They have 45 days to turn fearful racist Americans into one world free trade intellectuals. This will be a true te$t of the right wing / m$m power of propaganda.
Hang in there, xultar! In 45 days, we will know where we stand. Please watch the dems, too. They are just as much a part of the combine (one flew over the coo-coos nest) as msm, gop.

The majority of Americans are against this deal yet the majority of calls today were for it. Shame on CSpan for allowing the Bush crime family to manipulate public opinion. That was a display of big brother at its best.

| 17. My non-DU friends are very aware of what's going on--so are the 61% |
|
who disapprove of that piece of shit in the White House.
I draw upon the fact that I have been talking to some very intelligent people who don't lurk on the web, who live very full lives--don't even listen to progressive radio, but they know we are being conned.
Case in point: Friend goes to bookstore. Says she saw a book titled Women Who are Ruining America (or something close). She says she opened it and nearly threw it down after seeing people like Whoopie Goldberg and Barbra Streisand named. It was a :WTF: moment for her.
On the way from show Saturday night politics came up. Friend of friend who I just met knew that 2000 and 2004 were stolen, knew nearly as much as we discuss here.
Other friend, keeps telling me when I share my depression, that more people know about what is happening with these criminals than it seems.
And you know what? The media WANTS you and I to believe that the one-sided calls they take and the stacked panels of Republicans they televise ARE representative of mainstream America.
From what I am seeing, that is not true. Keep it in mind. Look for examples in your life of this. Do a reality check.

Remember about a week ago, when there were several repukes calling in about Gore's comments in the ME? How they all hit the same talking points on it, same phrasing and everything? Even though the Dubai Ports story had already started to make waves, these people were calling about Al? That's one of the things I look out for when I'm listening to WaJo callers; the astroturfers often will hit one kinda off-the-wall talking point, and they have a deplorable habit of repeating their talking points verbatim. Of course, as far as their masters are concerned, they're fulfilling their purpose. Their not expected to think for themselves.
One thing I've noticed, though, there are a lot more disaffected GOP'rs calling in lately. I like it!

I've heard Schumer put up as the bullseye without a mention of King standing next to him. So, because the "Democrat politicians demagogging like Schumer" it's like a light goes off...'They just hate Bush and Bush is American so they hate America!'
Sickening. Dreadfully sickening.
