| Lou Dobbs tonight said he is not a Democrat or a liberal. |
|
So, what is he, Republican, or perhaps a Libertarian?

|
the new style has had their old-style dreams finally realized. Now these old style Republicans realize how BAD their ideas were.

|
He found out capitalism , the kind we have , isnt a good deal for America because the business always goes to the lowest labor cost. (china) Since he was so hardcore capitalist, I must assume he was a rethug. Better late than never and we need media who speaks truth to power.

Was he saying it to defend himself? Or was this to somehow make him more palatable to the rw loonies?
I'm so sick of people using that word as if it's some sort insult, as opposed to it just identifying one's beliefs and political stance. Of course, no self respecting journalist wants to identify themselves as that evil, horrible, ugly thing.... :sarcasm:

|
than anyone else on that network...
He isn't affraid of ruffling people over what he considers important issues....
Of course he is a republican...
He came from the Financial Press, if I am not mistaken....
Just cause someone is a registered member of a political party doesn't necessarily mean they are with that party 100%....
He reminds me of my In Laws...
They were old school, Rockefeller John Lindsey type republicans... Firm believers in the Free Market system but recognizing that there is a need for a social and economic safety net....

He is close to the old time Pub who wanted no government intrusion, small gov't, low taxes, and low national debt, and a restrained Capitalism. That's why you see him so incensed over this admin. They are doing EVERYTHING Lou hates.

| 40. he's a Republican/Libertarian. It seems that he's a "true Libertarian" |
|
though unlike the fake "wannabees" who have colluded with the Bushistas and the NeoCon/PNAC'ers.
But, from what I remember of him in the old days and other DU'ers have verified...he's a Libertarian...doesn't believe in Big Government but believes in National Sovereignty over everything.
It kind of fits him, doesn't it. I was always hoping the Libertarians would wake up and smell the coffee and give us some help. So far, it's only Dobbs...let's see who follows...or better yet...who the "wind beneath Lou's Wings" are. They might be very powerful ...but they might just be Grover Norquist and the Ports/Immigration issue is their only thing in common with "some" Democrats...
