the administration cares about profit more than anything, so Dubai has agreed to play hardball in an attempt to force the ports deal detractors to get in line or be accused of harming our economy.

Unfortunately I think it will backfire and start off a round of popular protectionism that Bush & co were hoping to avoid, and we're going to call Dubai's bluff, leaving them without profitable investments in the U.S.

That's fine - that's why you're supposed to HAVE ethics in business and conduct your business out in the open; to avoid outcomes like this.
