He jabbed her toward the end saying something to the effect that they had HER convinced. She is clearly a Bush zealot. She made it as hard as possible for him to get his message out with her continual partisan interruptions. And all the while he's talking, they're throwing up insulting captions on the bottom of the screen, and then they interjected Frist's comments without any challenge whatsoever.
This is a perfect example of why I don't watch TV news - ever. Actually it was Paula Zahn who was the final straw a couple of years back, and this is the first glimpse I've had of TV news in a long time. I didn't realize how bad it has become since I walked away from it.

|
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 11:36 AM by tjdee
WTF?
First, she goes why go for only censure, which is "most people would say, kind of a slap on the wrist".
Then she asks him why he doesn't wait "before you call for something quite serious, which is the censure of a sitting president"?
Does she even know what she's talking about? She should really stick to the important issues of which coffee tastes best.

whining "why not wait to see if it's legal?" a million times. Plus, she threw in a lie when she said that Democrats are also saying we need to wait to know if it's legal. But Feingold quickly debunked that. I don't know if she's stupid or intentionally misleading people about the legality of this program.

She was so argumentative, arrogant & uninformed. Even the tone of her voice set my teeth on edge. "Russ Fein-GOLD, this is CRAZY!" In contrast, Feingold seemed calm, collected, & reasonable. I thought he handled it really well.

Although ill-defined, censure is a process of Congressional reprimand--the political equivalent of a strongly-worded letter. Legally, the resolution would have no effect http://www.law.cornell.edu/background/impeach/censure.htm

|
sheesh. . .and yes, she DID appear biased, something that seems to be a popular modus operandi about supposed "journalists" who are more concerned about their own stardom than informing the American people. These sort of people need their butts kicked off the air. . .and then we'll see just what kind of stuff they are made of as they are picked up for PR jobs by the RNC.
