| why am I getting this logo here? --> |
|
for some images, I get a white box with a red diamond in it. either the image then loads, or it just sits there as a red diamond.
could this be because I downloaded the firefox 1.5?
the image used to be something else.

| 4. I use mozilla and get that occasionally. |
|
Mozilla/firefox is pretty sensitive to security settings and often doesn't seem to like the taste of a site where certain images are located.

| 5. Sounds like Firefox is blocking images...... |
|
Go into Tools, Options, Content and check to see if you have the "load images" box checked.
Just a guess.

| 7. with firefox you may need one of their extensions |
|
it should say in the red box or somewhere around it (can't really remember where)that you need to download their extension for such and such (like for all media and image)....wish my memory was better....otherwise just rignt click, show image...

| 8. No special extensions required, those are .jpg images... |
|
... and I'm using FF 1.5 too with no problems on the site... personal preferences for website design notwithstanding ;-)
msongs: my guess is that you are on a slow internet connection or experiencing other bandwidth/network issues. Firefox will show white boxes with red diamonds as place-holders while an image is being downloaded. If, for some reason, your computer is having difficulty downloading the images (e.g., slow network, DNS problems) then you would notice these.

| 9. Depending on how busy the site is... |
|
Various features become unavailable if the site gets too busy...
Also - they are adding some new stuff today...
So expect oddities...
