I tried to come up with something that could be simply stated and sums things up.

With all the flag-waving and blather from the republicans about how we're bringing democracy to the world - it seemed ironic that the republicans try to shut up opposing views through intimidation -- (i.e. unpatriotic, have to support pResident during times of war)

just my 2-cents - but what better example can we set as to how well our "democracy" works by freely debating opposing views without fear of intimidation - especially when times are tough

it's easy to support pResident - harder to stand up and hold them accountable. Republicans are taking the easy way out - Feingold chose to take a stand and we can all benefit from his example
