on the news Hour is saying the "air attack" is simply troops being ferried to the scene of battle by helicopter. Little if any bombing taking place. Uh, Yeah...*sigh*
I'm sorry. I don't have a link for this. Heard it just now on Lehrer News Hour, Thurs. evening.
If someone else heard differently, I stand corrected.

Was the idea to "catch them off guard"? Noisy old helicopters in the middle of the day loaded down with overdressed GI's? The Elmer Fudd comandos on the march! What a joke.
