Helen Thomas is the epitome of "Fair and Balance"

If I can correctly recall, Helen Thomas never has beat around the bush -- no pun intended -- when asking a President a question. Now, I am hearing she is a disciple of Howard Dean. The question he asked Bush yesterday, is the very question many of us have been wanting to hear an answer to for three years. I wish this protective bubble that GWB has around him will finally go away. He is not a helpless infant, he is a grown man, treat him as such!

And a professional journalist is water to bush's wicked witch. The gop's ideal of a "journalist" is sean hannity. Helen Thomas seeks the truth and that is why republicans hate her. She's sought the truth since Kennedy was in the white house.

Helen Thomas asked a fair and tough question toward the chimp. The chimp blew his oppurtunity to voice any "credible execuses" he may have had for getting us into this god awful nightmarish war. A war which I have been against since the begging fyi. However chimpy blew it begtime so instead of attacking thier leader the attack the messenger. I guess the only tough question that you can ask of a conservative president is "What's your favorite Color."

7. This is one of the main reasons that make me believe he is a puppet

I believe they feed him lines, have him memorize them and that becomes the topic of his discussions. If any were to veer off course, that is when he comes extremely confused and frustrated.

4. I asked the question yesterday.....

amid all the Helen praising posts whether Helen was admirable. I was thoroughly flamed with some using the f word, some questioning my age, and even others being moderated and posts removed.....but I'll say it again. She apologized and therefore got to ask a question. Her apology was for publically calling Bush the worst President ever? She caved in and we applaud her for that? Of course, I respect her career but I think I'd rather have her in the front row NOT being able to ask a question (and everyone knowing why) than having caved to be able to ask one. All the talk is now about Helen and not about the question IMO. I appreciate those that answered my query yesterday with the comment that she had to do whatever to get on the playing field. I'm not sure I agree with it but it was an answer.

5. I believe we all should stand up for what we believe in.

If she apologized just to get back to being able to ask the president questions, I totally do not agree with it. But, if she was as sick of the softball questions, and misinformation we've been receiving from Snotty McFellon and GWB, a sacrifice had to have been made. And, I see Helen's apology as her diving on the grenade so that we can start getting some answers.
