| Which one of you is feeding bananas to Bob Dole? |

I'm watching him in the Situation Room, and almost feel sorry for him.
ON EDIT: Dole tried to tie Iraq to 9/11, and Leslie actually called him on it. Then Dole basically said, "Well, I think they'll eventually find that there were WMD." So, we have a new angle. Mr. Dole seems to be saying that we were attacked by means of WMD on 9/11.
He's lost his mind.

Blitzer actually caught Dole saying there was a connection between Saddam and 9/11, and called him on it.
Dole spit out a bunch of bananas as he tried to dance away from that statement.

Isn't it a bit weird that we have to deal with people arguing, simultaneously, that Saddam really WAS in league with al Qaeda but Bush never claimed that he was so stop saying he did?
Must be tough dealing with all those contradictions.

| 11. Admitted it the third time Blitzer asked him to answer the question! |
|
Kudos to Blitzer for not letting up. Dole is either senile or thought he could get away with being so deliberately obtuse. I vote for the latter, as he did finally say no!
