Foot problem forces Cheney to use a cane

WASHINGTON (AP) — A foot ailment forced Vice President Dick Cheney to use a cane on Friday.
"The vice president is experiencing a recurrence of a pre-existing foot condition," said Jennifer Mayfield, a spokeswoman for the vice president.

"The condition is being treated with rest and anti-inflammatory medicine," Mayfield said about the ailment to Cheney's left foot.

And the disease is more complicated than that. I'm no expert, but I know it belongs to the cluster of Congestive Heart Failure symptoms that Cheney suffers from. It's got more to do with excess fluid everywhere in the body, particularly the extremities, and of course the heart, than it does eating too much. Altho I gotta say Cheney doesn't look like he's done ANYTHING to control his weight, which would be key to recovering from those symptoms. What a stubborn old bastard--nobody tells him what to do, especially not his cardiologist. It's hard to believe he's still alive, years after they implanted the
defibrillator. It almost makes me believe in Satan.

28. I know. I've been saying lately that he looks like he's just

getting fatter and fatter. I know that my dad really suffered pain until he learned what was causing it. He had to give up shrimp and anything that had iodine in it and that helped. Of course, losing weight also was a factor.

As far as Cheney goes, it's hard to believe he can suffer any affliction that is heart related. If you get my meaning. ;)

He was at a fundraiser four or five years ago, and the menu was surf and turf. Lynne made them take away his plate and bring one with just fish on it. While she wasn't looking, he speared HER filet mignon and scarfed it down.
