Chrysler buyout offer expires March 27.

UAW-represented workers at Chrysler LLC have until March 27 to decide if they’ll take a buyout or early retirement offer, the company said today.

Chrysler is extending the time in order to allow its workers to consider changes that could be made in a modified labor contract. Chrysler and the UAW continue to discuss concessions as part of the $4-billion loan that Chrysler received from the federal government.

Chrysler’s buyout and early retirement offers include payments of $50,000 and $75,000, as well as vehicle vouchers.
