TWU and American Airlines Reach Tentative Contract

A tentative agreement has been reached between American Airlines and workers represented by the Transport Workers Union. The union represents more than 25,000 ground workers and mechanics at the airline, but this contract would specifically impact 11,500 employees. The agreement follows the TWU asking the National Mediation Board to release the mechanics from mediated talks in March. The board told the union to go back to the bargaining table.
