Members of Delphi Corp.'s second largest union ratified a new four-year contract with the auto parts maker last weekend, the union announced.
The IUE-CWA represents workers at Delphi plants in Kettering, Ohio, and Moraine, Ohio. The Kettering plant will be sold and the Moraine plant will close.
The Moraine plant was part of Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems -- now Delphi Thermal Systems -- when that division had headquarters in Lockport. Other plants were in Dayton, Ohio, and Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The United Auto Workers, the company's largest union, ratified a contract in June. The UAW represents 2,100 hourly employees at the Lockport facility.
The contracts are part of the company's plan to emerge from bankruptcy by year's end. Delphi (OTCBB: DPHIQ) declared bankruptcy in October 2005.
