Oshkosh Corp. and UAW Local 578 have reached a tentative contract that will be voted on by union members on Saturday.
Details were not immediately available, but one union member said the proposed contract should address the employees' main concerns.
Local 578 represents more than 3,000 Oshkosh employees, most of whom make trucks for the U.S. military.
Union officials have authorized a strike but have not yet called for it since the first proposed contract was rejected. About 2,800 union members voted on the deal, with 85% of them refusing to support it.

One longtime employ described the previous contract as "the worst I have ever seen". See earlier post...
