The International Transport Workers' Federation spearheaded a global campaign calling for Salehi's release .
ITWF spokesman Sam Dawson told Adnkronos International (AKI) the union now wanted other union activists released from Iranian prisons.

"Salehi's release is good news, but it's not an end," Dawson said.
"The Iranian government is still on notice that it has to free Mansour Osanloo and treat him and all the unjustly persecuted trade unionists with fairness and justice."
"Until they do, our campaigns continue, and will continue growing," Dawson added.
The ITF, which has five million members worldwide, has led an international campaign to free Salehi and his fellow trade activist Mansour Osanloo both of whom have health problems.
