| Tough, but heartwarming story in Louisville paper today. |

This was hard to read, and will be for many who deal with cancer. I'm posting the link because of the great strength and caring being described. My wife has been very fortunate about her breast cancer, but we also faced this possibility, years ago. Best wishes to all for July 4.

that has taken the lives of many women, including my sister and molly ivins. it's a horrible form of breast cancer, with a very low survival rate. but i know a few women who have survived it. i am glad mary got to see her daughters graduate...i know it meant the world to her and to them. unfortunately, my sister wasn't there to see her youngest daughter graduate last year.

Reading that and seeing the pictures brought tears right to my eyes and I read a lot of stories like that.
I hope you're doing well; I've been keeping you in my thoughts.

She fought her breast cancer for 15 years and was pissed when she knew the end was coming. She was ready to fight it but her body just couldn't do it anymore. My kids never knew their grandmother when she didn't have cancer, and yet they have many memories of her.
