I had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy on Friday. Fortunately, my nodes were negative! So it looks like I'm on to radiation and then tamoxifen. Thank you so much for all your good vibes and well wishes!! :grouphug:

Relief is spelled node negative! The first thing I asked after the mastectomy was "what about the nodes?" To get the all clear was a huge weight off.
Please stay in touch during your treatment. Good and positive vibes for you will continue unabated from here.:grouphug:

out of the anasthesia. I'm not sure if it was before or after I threw up. You're so right. Things would be hugely complicated by positive nodes.
Thanks for all the good vibes! They seem to be working for me! Best of vibes coming your way, too! :grouphug:

Negative nodes are a good thing. At least you won't have chemo now. :hi:

Yes, that is a relief, but what really had me worried was the possibility of lymphedema if the nodes had to be removed. Best wishes to you! :pals:

I only had a couple removed, but I'm still careful on that side.

and found out I had five sentinel lymph nodes, so I'm missing a few more. Still, it's a lot better than needing to have them all removed.

After 16 months, my numbness is starting to slowly go away. Last Feb. I had my hyst. and they took nodes from both sides, so I'm kinda numb all over!

My mother had it in the nodes too and had to go through the works. It still may not be much fun ahead for you but it's better than needing the chemo, and it means your odds are way better.
BTW,my mom is officially in remission after six years...so you can whoop it's ass!

and got tattooed. :D I'll have my first treatment next Tuesday. Fortunately, everyone there is really nice and my radiation oncologist is cute. :-) So I'm doing pretty well.
How are you doing, sweetie? :pals:

And yay for cute the radiation oncologist! :D
I'm doing all right - still pretty tired, so I went to see the doctor yesterday and she checked me out from head to toe. My blood pressure was so low I was glad I was conscious. :D So we'll see what the tests have to show next week or so.
Keep us posted about your treatments! :pals:
