Most Americans cannot remember when Hawaii was not a state.

Hawaii has not been exotic since Hawaiian Eye premiered on B&W TV and introduced the Tiki God back in the 1950s.

You don't get your kicks on Route 66. It is now Highway 40.

And Myrtle Beach has not been the "In" place since the early 1960's.
