If McCain really does believe that a $3 million income is middle class, he's way more out of touch with real Americans that he thinks Obama is.
You know how people think their own experiences are normal? I've found that it works the same with standard of living. Affluent people who hang out mostly with other affluent people don't think of themselves as affluent.
