Sarah Palin and John McCain express contempt and blame toward a voter and "gotcha journalism" for Sarah Palin's gaffe on Pakistan.

Moreover, during her CBS interview with Katie Couric, Palin lied about what the voter asked and how she answered.

Palin has said on more than one occassion, that the U.S. should cross over Afghanistan's border into Pakistan without Pakistan's permission, if "that's what we have to do to stop the terrorists," a position that John McCain disagrees with.

Her two earlier interviews have attained official cultural notoriety. A commentator on Anderson Cooper tonight said she could do well Thursday, and never live them down. She's branded' damaged goods.

Even if she does well during the debate, it wont wash away all of her mistakes and the narrative about her, that's now pretty much set in stone.

In addition to her lying about what the voter asked and how she responded, I was really bothered by her snotty tone about the voter. Does she feel that she does not have to earn votes? That she does not have to answer voter's questions?

She apparently resents what she calls, "stump the candidate!"

If she doesn't come out with a big bang, as she did during her convention speech, it will be a loss for her. Even if she is able to string together complete sentences and avoids making any major gaffes, it will take more than that for it to help the McCain campaign.

white on rice. There was a really weirdly worded statement coming from him earlier about how the family, friends, and political aides were all missing her. I suspect she truly is more ambitious than smart and has been totally coached to be the attractive face of some pretty shadowy folks who 'run' her. I think they are a little discomfitted by the exposure she's getting 'off leash' because it's gonna bite them when she gets back to AK with her veneer stripped off.

McCain's campaign is beginning to find out just how stupid she is on her own and just hard it is to keep her on message.

if he really wants to drive home the point of mclame being out of touch with the middle class, average voter, this is the video he needs to spin--to accuse a voter, whose vote that woman needs, of "gotcha journalism" all because he asked an intelligent question of that woman and she gave an answer that was 180 degree from the line the top of the ticket has given and more in line iwth his opponent.
