He constantly stresses the idea that it is we the people who must move elected officials in the direction we want them to go.
It is possible. They must hear from us!

We need to get out in the streets and scream that we don't want for-profit corporations making our healthcare decisions for us in thier own narrow self-interest. We'd save hundreds of billions of dollars if we thru CIGNA, UnitedHealth and the rest of the AHIP criminals overboard and moved to a single payer system. The only thing standing in our way is bought and paid for politicians.
We need a massive grassroots uprising to get this accomplished, and we are well on our way. No matter what happens in 2009, public option or no, the movement to establish healthcare a human right will continue and we'll eventually get to a single payer system where everyone is covered from cradle to grave with the same access to high quality healthcare with ZERO out of pocket expense.
It's time. Private Health Insurance Must Go!

| 7. This guest is a conspiracy theorist |

The host's assertion that a 91% top tax rate caused CEO's to make less relative to their lowest paid employee back in the day is pretty illogical. If we jacked up the top tax rate, CEO's would just pay themselves more to compensate.
And again, I watched the Frontline program and the guest is drawing a false conclusion. Frontline did NOT push for making private health coverage mandatory, in fact they explicitly showed how it wasn't practical. Also, he lies about Obama's health care plan insisting that it will force us to buy private insurance, when in fact his plan is actually a backdoor path to single payer.
"PBS is dominated by big corporations". The PBS is the ONLY place on TV where the truth is told. And this guy stabs them in the back.
Ever wonder why liberals can never get anything done is this country?
