Obama's enthusiastic welcome by the military gives me hope for the outcome of our "special election" here in NY District 20, to fill Kirsten Gillibrand's vacant House seat. She was appointed to replace Hillary Clinton in the Senate. It's currently a dead heat, with the overseas absentee ballots still to be counted... The media is now saying this is a referendum on Obama. *fingers crossed*
