| 3. New World Order is a Bush term |
|
Not only a Bush term, whether Bush Sr created it or not, he popularized it. And the band Ministry made fun of it. Then the real idiot that had no original ideas Bush Jr said it again. So I'm guessing the Right has severe long term memory loss. Anybody else have a list on how many presidents have said a new world order and has Obama mentioned the term yet.

that "new world order" was actually a term used by the "european initiative"...
The story goes something like this. When it became apparent that the Soviet Union was about to bust, many people started to think about the post cold war world. Certain Europeans circles, especially scandinavian ones (sweden lead) tried to bring up the idea that the imperial period should now definitely be over - no more superpowers but a true system of international cooperation. They were making quite a noise and actually were mandated by a majority of Europeans. Europe was tired of being on the American leash, and they were especially eager to free themselves from the restraints of deep politics of NATO (Gladio, and other NATO ops that could incite enough fear in a population to keep them from voting too leftist).
Yadda, Yadda, Yadda /-> following that, the Swedish seas started to become infested with "soviet naval forces" and there was allot of talk of soviet provocation and invasion plans - even though everyone knew it was bull. Many people today believe that those were american ships, determined to kill the european initiative known as the "new world order" - I am one of them, although this assumption is based on circumstantial evidence only.
Soon after that, the term "NWO" popped up with the BushCrimeFamily and their associates. Since then it has been epitomized by the radical right. I never got how that worked for them since they obviously saw Clinton and GHWB in a different light - at least they didn't start this petty insurrection thing until Clinton came along.
So whoever tries to scare you with the "NWO", just tell him you would prefer it. Since the European initiative was principally something born out of the "change" spirit that american voters endorsed last November. Put simple, "NWO" as the "european initiative" corresponds to the broader concept of "Peace dividend" so often discussed after the soviet collapse.
Just my 2 cents. Totally agree with your post.

I am so glad I can catch these clips on Media Matters and DU. I couldn't stomach watching much more of that.
