| 1. Not sure I like him going on Morning Joe and complaining |
|
Is that really the right forum?
You would think that an Admiral would understand the whole chain of command thing.

| 2. Entirely possible that he's acting on orders from up his chain in doing this.. |
|
A little shot across Specter's bow, just to make sure he stays in line.
As in "Don't EVER get the idea you can do whatever you want--I'll kick you're ass and take your seat."

| 4. Sestak is a great guy. He was "very sane" while on active duty. |
|
Not a smartass, not the sort to throw his weight around....he just never had to do that. Worked very well with others, very bright, easily met and sociable, always looking downstream, didn't put up with crap--just an all around good guy. His constituents got themselves a good 'un with him.

| 5. There was a lot of anger within the PA Democratic ranks when |
|
the party bigwigs decided that Bob Casey would be the Democratic candidate to run against Santorum. If Arlen doesn't give Dems some important votes, there will be an all out rebellion within the party.

| 7. They needed Casey in order to take "The Big A" off the table. |
|
There was no way Santorum could answer every debate question with "Waaah, waah, waaaah, ABORTION.....waaah, waaah, waaah, Sanctity of LIFE!!!!" when his opponent was conservative Catholic Dem.
It was the only way to wrest the seat from the bum. Ya gotta send a moron to smite a moron, sometimes. And that moron had the Abortion Neutralizing Stance and the in-state name recognition.

This is what I want to hear.
Why should our choice be decided by Washington, or Rendell for that matter?
What's the point of having a primary? Or a right to vote? Can't I decide on the candidate I want?
If Specter wants to run as a Democrat--fine. And if he wins the primary I'll support him over that lunatic Toomey any day. But he shouldn't be handed the nomination because he was going to get bumped out of the senate by the party he previously supported.
This is nothing but a dirty backroom deal and it stinks.
Sestak should run and anybody else for that matter.
Give us a choice.
