4. While campaigning, Obama had promised that

"Never again would Congress be given massive documents to read and sign into law and be urged to vote for them as law before reading them." (I am paraphrasing his statements.)

That is a promise that he went back on. His desires for passage of the financial bill was so
"urgent" that once again, Congress was urged to vote now, and read later.

Then he let it sit on his desk for a while, before signing! Klein is right on about the shock doctrine.
