The Catholic Church has opposed comprehensive sex education for young people that would educate them and serve to protect them from the consequences of unprotected sex. This includes STDs and pregnancy. Their asinine program of not educating their youngsters is coupled with the condemnation of masturbation and the evils of contraception to round out their program.

If you want to prevent abortion then support programs that actually have proven effective measures. The fact of the matter is the abortion rate among Catholics is just as high as among those who don't attend any church. These deluded sex starved creatures need a good roll in the hay.

Every once in a while I listen to this Catholic radio station, specifically . I'm a non-theist, so I just tune in to hear the latest religious right talking points and fear mongering. They have staunch anti-choice/contraception/stell cell research positions AND they're anti-programs to help the poor and middle class (oh, and they bring on clowns from right wing think tanks to argue for tax cuts on the rich, that global warming is fake, etc.). And of course I never hear them object to torture or war.

At any rate, Pavone is a frequent guest and I'm not surprised by your description, as harsh as it may sound.
