For those that can't come join us here in West Virginia, there's lots that you can do to support the tree sitters and the campaign from afar.
We need money to get these brave folks out of jail and money to continue to operate our base camp here in the valley and support future actions. Information on how to donate:
http://climategroundzero.org/about-us/#supportWe also need help amplifying the voices of the folks putting their bodies on the line to stop the blasting.
Click here to send a letter to the WV DEP and the Office of Surface Mining telling them to shut down the blasting on the Edwight Surface Mine.
Our friends at the Rainforest Action Network are also calling for letters to media outlets covering the trees expressing support for the sitters and opposition to MTR, as well as letters asking EPA Secretary Lisa Jackson to come to the coalfields and see the devastation of MTR first-hand.
The coal companies are feeling the pressure, so now we need your support more than ever.
For the mountains,
