Almost the exact same thing happened to me, but with my ACCOUNTANT. Can you imagine anything more awkward? It should be illegal to proselytize while working for someone.

Should that really be illegal? I get that it's an annoyance, but I don't know...might impinge on first amendment.

If you are performing paid work in someone's house, and you start offering to sell them books about your religion (in this case nutty books by L Ron Hubbard), there has to be some kind of protection...you are not agreeing to be recruited by virtue of inviting someone into your home.

It was annoying and unasked for, and the guy isn't doing any more work there, but I don't think it is or should be illegal.
