Chickens-4-Checkups Debuts In TV Ad!


It’s the gaffe that keeps on giving: Chickens for checkups has now made its debut in a paid TV ad campaign.

The Patriot Majority, a left leaning third party group, has just gone up on the air with this new spot that employs the old “person in the street” device, Nevada columnist Jon Ralston reports. Only this time, the ordinary voters are all taking about — yup — Sue Lowden and chickens for checkups:

Those interviewed ridicule Lowden’s chickens for checkups scheme as a “joke,” “total fantasy land,” and a sign that Lowden is “divorced from the reality that most people live.”

I haven’t yet determined where the spot is running, but presumably it’s going up on the air in Nevada. That so many ordinary voters have opinions about chickens for checkups is yet another sign that the story has raged out of control and shows no signs of abating anytime soon.

In other chicken news, check out this clip of a GOP official in Nevada acknowledging that he’s getting calls from Washington Republicans who are wondering what the heck is going on with Lowden. This story has flown the coop and isn’t coming back.
