Greenwald's words are interesting and I'm enjoying following it on Rachel's FB page. Turley can just get lost.

4. Johnathon Turley is right.. she is more to the right than the person she is replacing.

.. she has no experience actually sitting on the bench as a judge. This was simply an easy appointment for Mr. Obama.

She will move the court to the right.. just what we do not need.

7. Exactly. She has been confirmed already, and if the Republicans............

..........don't vote for her now the Dems will paste all their names on everything they can with their hypocrisy. I also agree from everything I have read on her, that it will move the court to the right. I'm sure she's not as nuts as Scalia or as dumb as Thomas or as outright federalist hacks like Alito and Roberts, but certainly not a real liberal. I hope I'm wrong.

This is a done deal, the rethugs will fight and kick and in the end act like the are losing when she is confirmed. All the while they are smiling as we lose our civil rights and become slaves to the international cartel of corporations that now control our "government".

I saw no bias against minorities in his discussion. He was dealing strictly with the political philosophy of apointments and the impact of that philosophy on the court....Bottom line is that both of the Obama apointments have been more conservatives than those they are replacing. Bad news for civil libertarians. Good news for DLC democrats.

17. We need IRV voting, for one -- and an end to corporate $$, second . . .

As liberal, I'm tremendously disappointed in Obama --

but that doesn't worry Dems because they know we have no place to go --

Dems and Repugs BLOCK IRV voting and hinder third parties -- so that we don't have a choice.

While I'm very displeased with Kagan -- I would have loved to have seen Elizabeth Holtzman

get it -- would I have done any better with McCain?

The idea is to find a way to improve things and not make them worse.

Repugs have been getting rid of their moderates and liberal wing for decades by targeting

them -- NRA was also a big help there -- as well as "pro-life" murderers.

Obviously, we need to do the same with Dems -- target DLC blue dogs/etal --

Wm. Greider and Michael Moore have also suggested that formula . . .

Overturn them one at a time --

OTOH, as I watch Sestak -- whom I gave $$ to -- and one other one -- many at DU were assured

they were liberals -- turns out at least two of them are conservatives. I'll be glad to see

Arlen Specter go -- but very displeased with Sestak situation!

This all points to the huge liberal/progressive bloc wanting change, but not getting together

to work together to bring it about!!??

Any suggestions on that?

incumbents. It wont take many election cycles to get better government once the People assert Us.
