is that during the beginning monologue, while it still catches up some of the news and topics for the rest of the program, it is also the heavily satirist section. Remember, Bill Maher is a comedian first, and rationalist a close second, and that's why he rules (please excuse the bias of a fan):).

He was raised by middle class white grandparents in a state with one of the lowest African American populations in the country. Until he was an adult he had very little exposure to the typical African American homelife experience.

I used to live in Hawaii back in the 80s. Anyone's life there is a lot different than life in the mainland.
