| 5. Big Ed still gonna consider the senate??? |
|
I hope so. At some point.
And McChrystal is an a-hole. He might just want out of the Afghan mess, but, it's more likely he's a B*shy republican, and can't stand Democratic leniency in not wielding a more forceful iron fist against the lands and people of Afghanistan.

| 7. If Obama is smart, he will reassign McChrystal to handle BP and |
|
the Gulf Oil Spill. Now there's a job for somebody with McChrystal's talent for offending people. I think that would be a great match. McChrystal can deal with the BP bureaucrats. How long do you think he would last trying to do that?
One thing I'm sure of, Afghanistan and Obama would look like a piece of cake after the Gulf.
How about it Obama? McChrystal?

Way to go Ed, fire that jackass. And then how bout lets leave Afghanistan completely. The Rolling Stone article was the best argument for leaving Afghanistan I have seen so far.

| 10. He should absolutely be fired. This guy either has a drinking |
|
problem, or this was intentional. I find it hard to believe that a man in his position would say those things publicly in front of a reporter unless he was drunk, intended to do damage to Obama, or wanted a way out, which is cowardly, considering he could have been honest with Obama in private and resigned. McChrystal no doubt is a Republican Bush/Cheney lackey, who never supported this president. He should never have been trusted.

Many dislike him here because he sounds like Rush.
Seriously, that's his main attraction. He can talk to the red meat eating pickup driving crowd better than Olbermann and Maddow.

| 14. This is an example of the arrogance of many senior military officers. |
|
Face it, nearly all of them are hardcore Republicans as well as many of them being outright racists. As I have stated here before, my oldest brother was a Full Colonel slated for being made a general until he fell serious ill. I attended my functions in which numerous senior army officers present at his home. They not only were staunch Republicans, many were out right racists who claimed that the quality of the services had been seriously compromised by the influx of minorities, especially Black and Hispanics. Sometimes I really question if we should be operating military service academies in which we expand millions of dollars "educating" these war mongers. Too many of these generals forget that they serve under the President who is their ultimate civilian authority.
I am not in the least surprised by this bastard's attack on President Obama and I hope that Obama has the guts that President Truman had and fires his ass. General MacArthur was far more respected than this jerk, but his subordination was quickly and decisively dealt with by Truman when he removed him from command in Korea.
