This is the reselling of the occupation of Iraq. That is the only reason this coward now supports a war that he was too chicken shit to serve in.
Edited to add:
A friend of mine who fought in Vietnam response: "I guess 53 thousand body bags full wasn’t enough. Maybe Son Of a Bush wants to break the record for lives wasted on useless war."

| 2. Does Bush know that the "Killing Fields" were a Cambodian phenomenon |
|
Edited on Thu Aug-23-07 06:47 AM by ET Awful
that originated in Cambodia, not Vietnam (in fact, ethnic Vietnamese were as likely to be killed as anyone else by the Khmer Rouge) and that they were liberated by the Vietnamese military in 1979? Unless the US had been willing to shift its entire military focus to Cambodia (instead of just engaging in illegal bombing and cross-border incursions), we could have had little or no influence in the tragedy that occurred there under the Khmer Rouge.
The US withdrawing from Vietnam had little to do with what was going on in Cambodia.

bombing Cambodia that led to the collapse of the 2,000 year old government in Cambodia and the rise of the Khmer Rouge?
Does it matter? He's trying to spin his war. He'll twist history anyway he needs to make his point.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pear Harbor?

about anything- He is an empty vessel filled with words from the outside. He is a most pathetic figurehead ever to "govern" anywhere on the planet.

| 4. Neocon brains stopped working after 1967... |
|
They still think the LSD-laced hippies are running mayhem in the streets and that's why they are always returning to Vietnam when it's convenient for them. They're always wanting to re-fight the battles they lost with the left back then -- Vietnam was bad, Nixon needed to be removed, John Wayne will never die -- until they can, at least in their minds, go back in time and win those battles, they will be stuck like bugs in amber in this argument. They're like those pockets of resistance -- and they're out there, folks -- who would like to re-fight the Civil War and come out on top this time.

| 6. damn this * for causing so much turmoil in Iraq, we do not belong there. |

all I can see is Cheney and Bush just rubbing their hands together saying we did it, and more money for us. I hate these people.

| 7. Better comparison: Soviets in Afghanistan |
|
I think a better comparison would be the Soviets in Afghanistan. They tried to install Communism and we're trying to install Capitalism. Both are futile efforts than cannot and will not work. Utter stupidity.
