3. Good for Ratigan highlighting plight of Bradley Manning in Isolation ...!!

but notice where the Orwellian SCREEN WATCHING has taken us ...

as one of the guys there relates that "you can't get cameras in, you can't cover

what's happening to Manning" --

In other words -- "No video = No story" :eyes:

Also loved Ratigan's ....

"We're throwing shiny objects onto the TV screen to make them watch so we can

go out to dinner?"



Also would be nice if the guys would note that there are no gals present -- as women

continue to be disappeared from journalism.

4. Agree with Seder ... Obama isn't sleep walking, he knows what the cuts to Social Security mean...

and it's what he wants -- cuts to the safety net which destablizes the

middle class/poor even further -- while redistributing wealth upwards to elites.

7. That's about right.

Obama didn't get where he is by backing the losing side or by being loyal to his roots. The class war is pretty much over. The financial class won long ago. Obama is one of them and has been for a long time. He was elected because his populist PR machine was better than that of the beer heiress's consort and because most people were sick of the stupid rich guy who had the job previously.

5. What happened to Manning's speedy trial rights?

It used to be back in ancient history that you had something like a 100 days to bring someone to trial once their freedom was restricted pre-trial.
