14. The funny thing...

It may or may not have been gotcha journalism, but the funny thing is that those who were so against Newt were on the far right! The moderates and the dems are saying, "hey, Newt's being sensible" and when those on the far right attacked Newt, he had to kowtow to the powers that be.

It wouldn't have been gotcha journalism if the RW didn't attack Newt so hard, and perhaps been more accommodating to alternative ideas.

15. Idiot Spice doesn't realize that it *wasn't* the MEDIA that "dinged" him on his

criticism of Ryan's plan, but the GOP that did so. Hannity kept trying to walk her back, to make her understand what happened (and what he is actually trying to ask her), but she is so pigheaded and stupid that she couldn't understand what Hannity was trying to tell her and couldn't let go of that single idea that she had brought to the interview to spout--repeatedly, regardless of the question.

Also, I love that Hannity calls it a "gotcha" question to quote a Republican's own words and to ask why his current statements contradict his previous statements. It's just like Gingrich insisting it would be a "lie" and threatening to sue if anyone dares to quote his own words, exactly as he said them, with no editing at all.
