Anyway, she has taught us all how to cook up this drink, we could invite her over to our next cocktail party and serve her one of these!

The Rachel Maddow Cocktail Tour. She would be very popular in Oklahoma. Seriously, we Oklahoma liberals are grateful when someone of liberal persuasion visits our state. The democratic candidates could rake in some serious campaign donations. Who wouldn't want to have a cocktail with Rachel?

We'll just have to convince Rachel and Susan that they need a vacation.

even amounts (like 3 oz.) each of

Bandy
Benedictine
Cointreau

Put in a shaker with lots of ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into champaign flutes, filling them half way.
Top with cold Champaign

(and as she said on the show)
Garnish with a bottle of Advil.


Yummy fuzzy alcoholic deliciousness. I've made it with B&B but it's better with the recipe. (The B&B must not be 50/50)

As a professional bartender of 20+ years...it's amazing to see a tv personality who, not only has smarts to spare and loves good drink but...she always makes great cocktails and even uses good ingredients (The folks at Death's Door are friends and it's awesome to see them get some recognition because their stuff is phenomenal...check out their white whiskey if you haven't already!). To further her lesson regarding this cocktail, the zig zag club did re popularize it but it originated at the Detroit Athletic Club and you can also, currently, find it on the list at Employees Only in New York or you can come see me at Saffron in Minneapolis during NN next month and I would be happy to craft one for you! ;)
