1. Walter Mosley is calling on each of US to be active citizens rather than passive receptors.

2. Fabulous conversation. Great ideas on how to redirect ourselves to unite

as working people across our country for a few more basic human rights like excellent free public education, Medicare for All, and a way to grow old with dignity.

To his list I'd add the dignity of full employment in much needed infrastructure jobs infused with art and green technologies, collective bargaining, stronger environmental and public health regulations, de-privatized prisons and military services, a less destructive national energy plan for the next two decades, etc.

We are longing for an end to the Bush Wars.

And the new ones.
