1. Benzene -- if that is what this is.

I remember reading some years ago that benzene was believed to cause small-cell lung cancer in sheep shearers in Scotland. They used the benzene in the shearing process (obviously) and later were diagnosed with lung cancer. Benzene is a known carcinogen I believe. I'm sorry I don't have links to back this up.
