Corporate masters. That would probably mean losing their jobs. So, I doubt any of them has that kind of courage and in fact, most probably agree with the way things are.

But it's excellent that he is highlighting their propaganda on behalf of the least popular people in the world today.

Good for Michael Moore. He's been fighting this for years, and probably had a lot of influence on the current movement through his movies, which really are all about informing people about important issues the media refuses to cover.

10. CNBC is nothing more than a cheerleading section for corporate greed

When I saw that Maria Bartollmo or whatever the fuck her name is on Chris Matthews crowing about how much cash big business is sitting on because they cut jobs like it was a good thing.....it told me all I need to know.

Asking them to report about the gross inequality of the financial system is like asking a home team play by play guy to be fair to other club. Not happening. Not interested.

17. Just watched a great TED talk on this very topic by

Richard Wilkerson. Higher income disparity LEADS to all sorts of social dysfunction in society, AND has a negative impact on those at the higher end as well. He noted in his talk that if Americans want to live the American dream, they should move to Denmark. Social injustice and economic inequality are the central themes in the OWS protest. Meanwhile, the Republicans continue to do everything possible to stick it to the American people.

For decades, Richard Wilkinson has studied the social effects of income inequality and how social forces affect health. In The Spirit Level, a book coauthored with Kate Pickett, he lays out reams of statistical evidence that, among developed countries, societies that are more equal – with a smaller income gap between rich and poor -- are happier and healthier than societies with greater disparities in the distribution of wealth.

While poverty has long been recognized as an indicator for such social ills as crime, obesity, teen pregnancy, Wilkinson and Pickett have demonstrated that societal well-being bears no relation to per capita income. They’ve also found that the symptoms of inequality trouble all levels of society. Across the board, mental health, levels of violence and addiction, even life expectancy are affected by the psycho-social stress caused by income gaps and status anxiety.

Every year we see that TV stations have to show to the FCC that they have some socially redeeming effort thay made during the year.

Can't this work in reverse? Why can't they be reported to the FCC

OR

Send a petition to the FCC that states that on numerous occasions that the station
has reported misleading stories and is a source for propaganda.

Let's get them investigated by the FCC and see what happens!!!
