On Tuesday, October 25, 2011, over a thousand people flooded the streets of downtown Oakland to protest the eviction of the #OccupyOakland tent city early that morning. Riot police fired tear gas and flash bombs to disperse the crowds.

In this video, a single navyman faces off against riot police - standing amidst the tear gas, holding a flag that reads: "veterans for peace" and a copy of the US Constitution.

Did you see the angry at the police look on his face? I thought that was perfect.

Also I love what the guy sitting on the ground says at 2 minutes into the video. He says: "We will not give up. We're not weak. We don't carry weapons, we carry words. Please shoot more tear gas. We fuel off of your hatred."
