1. Chris is the MAN. I know many here at DU have had similar thoughts and

posted them here, so Chris isn't saying anything we haven't discussed. But he's courageous,
passionate, articulate and wields an authority which helps to give these thoughts a voice.
For that I am so grateful.

The things in this Part 1 that I resonated with (and have said as much on Du) is that the
system is dead and the ptb will continue to try and channel us back into the same old corral because
it's THEIR corral and they can control it.
I know DU is a political website and some have felt we should work within the current system
to bring reforms. It's like trying to revive and dress a corpse, primarily out of fear of the
death of the old, or of chaos. But this is the nature of significant change for whole societies
and for individuals. Before real change can take hold the old way of being must be rejected or die.


The other thing that stood out is the recognition that this revolution is not simply for jobs,
political and social justice, etc.... We are literally fighting for our lives on this planet.
And we cannot afford to turn our backs and a walk away from this reality.
