5. Smart smart smart move by Ron Paul

Again: I don't support his Libertarian policy. However I believe him to be a decent man. Probably honest. We could do a lot worse.

He keeps playing his cards right and he'll be the man to beat in 2008.

And after George W. Bush I can't see that as anything except an improvement. Plus Ron Paul isn't publicly perceived as the "whacko" that the press unfairly describes Dennis Kucinich as being.

Should Hillary Clinton poll poorly prior to the general election (after winning the Dem nomination) Paul could defeat her running as an independent.

Ron Paul will win some GOP primaries but the corrupt power moguls of the GOP will definitely force him out. Either through back room deals or assassination.

So he runs as an independent in 2008. His odds maybe either better or even with Hillary.
