What the president is trying to say is that South Carolina is irrelevant to the election of a Democratic president. Neither Hillary nor Obama can carry a single state of the 'old south' in the general election. Edwards could maybe carry one or two but the media has decided that he won't get the chance. This situation will prevail no matter how many black voters turn out. From Jacksonville to Nashville the code word for 'black person' is 'democrat'. Remember, even in the south, they are still a minority. If they are rumored to turn out in droves the whites will turn out in droves too. That, along with strategically placed roadblocks on election day will ensure that republicans prevail.

40. The SC vote was in my opinion...

Jury nullification. The black community got upset with the way things were being discussed and they decided to go with voting based on color in my opinion. The fact of the matter is SC won't go to the Dems in the general election anyway...so it might be interpreted as a silly thing for Bill to say but the fact is he is correct. Of course this could all change on Feb 5 if Obama pulls off a major win in a majority of the states but we shall see. So Obama controlled the black vote in SC but you will need a lot more then a protest vote to win the presidency.

By the way Hillary has 230 Delegates Obama has 152.
