And yes, Obama has been a great disappointment, although not a surprise. And yes, if it's a choice between some GOP nutbag and Obama in 2012, I am not at all inclined to vote for a GOP nutbag. Not in the least. If Palin's on the ballot, I may apply for a job in Canada.

However, this doesn't mean Obama gets unconditional support. He ran a certain way and he should have stuck with it. He campaigned on a public option, he should have supported against LIEberman.

He can still pull this out if he throws out his Wall Street gang and pulls back the people that helped him win.

I am not entirely unsympathetic to Palestinians, as I am not entirely unsympathetic to the disappointment expressed at DU. I am unsympathetic to the lack of tolerance of both factions. I can actually understand the anti-Israel sentiment more than I can understand and accept the anti-Obama, anti-Democratic Party attitude. Israel really has done some horrible things. As I told your group last night, I won't come to your place if you don't quote and paste my threads from other forums. I have an IM into Skinner about this now and I am waiting on a reply. With the way some of your group attacks others, it's a concern to me that my work on other forums might be used an excuse to attack me en masse here on DU. I remember the primaries and stayed off DU for most of them because some of the folks who frequent the BOG forum now were running off of DU good Democrats who disagreed with them. Posts from other forums were used as ammunition. I ask you to remember that this type of attack is prohibited by the rules of the BOG forum that Skinner set up. Those rules have been posted upthread.

I understand your desire to support your president. But paranoia, to the point of searching out DUers on other forums, will only backfire and however righteous your cause will make you look predatory.
