The President's talk --

I timed my household tasks so that I'd be able to listen. Sat down with a cup of coffee, and a couple minutes into the speech Comcast interrupted to run a 'required monthly test'. A DUer in another part of the state said there was no such interruption on their Comcast. Just because I live in a very red part of the state is no reason to be suspicious of the timing, right? Right?

2. Actually,

the interruption happened near the beginning of the talk. I'm assuming that he was briefly revisiting the purposes of his security discussions. The remainder of the talk went without interruption.

There is a teensy tiny possibility that I reacted out of proportion to the incident. That said, around here during the Bush years an ill-timed sneeze could get one accused of threatening the president. It wouldn't surprise me if some employee at the local office decided to have himself a little fun by 'accidentally' throwing that switch at that time.

got the same test.

5. Well, I haven't heard any of his remarks in the last little while

with no one to blame but myself. A little thing of slipping backwards with my health issues is not an excuse but the only one I have. Will try to catch up by going to his web site and reading up, maybe if I can stay awake. ;)
