Why can't the main forums be used for their stated purpose, not to be mean spirited but to DISCUSS in a civil manner?

Aren't the main Forums to be for those that SUPPORT Democrats?

Is that asking too much?

This place it getting out of hand - somebody needs to get control of those who are undercutting the Democratic Party and daring anybody to do anything about it.

Should there have to even be a need to have a forum for those that want to undercut the Democratic Party ~ of course not.

The rules are that we are to SUPPORT the Party but that is not what is happening unless I am missing something.

Valid criticisms that provoke discussion are fine. Unfortunately, most of what I see hare hateful posts, often written for no purpose other than to get others worked up - no different than the technique the far right uses. THAT sort of thing doesn't belong on DU - anywhere.

I'm concerned about the anger, I don't need to get cut up for trying to convince a Democrat that they should vote for a Democrat.

Let's face it, the "Progressives" owned the main forums.
They should not own it and I should not own it.

Democrats getting elected should be the goal.
