(CNN and MSNBC) watching the Haiti coverage. My head is about to explode. She gets mad at me if I change the channel, but right now I have on the Daily Show and Colbert. Sorry to say, they are not much better tonight than the MSM. I keep nodding off. :boring:

but I have a feeling, a very bad feeling, that it isn't going to happen. This is like the day that Kerry lost, and I wished with all my heart that I was wrong in how I felt but the election results were what I thought they would be. I hate my premonitions when they are unhappy ones. I want to be bright and cheery.
The news about Haiti that they are using to make us look bad is not helping any either. I just want to crawl in a hole right now and not come out until.....never.

| 9. COAKLEY'S CLOSING STATEMENT " |
|
<snip> "COAKLEY'S CLOSING STATEMENT.... State Attorney General Martha Coakley (D), an accomplished attorney and public advocate, knows the importance of a strong closing statement. So, the day before the special election in Massachusetts, Coakley is turning her final message to voters over to President Obama."<snip> "As far as 11th-hour polling, the Democratic campaign's internals reportedly show Coakley up by two -- those same internals showed her trailing by a few points late last week. As for Research 2000, the outfit conducted a poll in Massachusetts last week that showed Coakley leading conservative Republican Scott Brown by eight, 49% to 41%. Over the weekend, R2K ran another poll, showing the two candidates tied at 48% each. Noting the results, Laura Clawson added, "As we keep saying, this one comes down to GOTV."
And speaking of GOTV, the Republican Party in Massachusetts tends to have weak organizational infrastructure, and as a result, Brown's campaign is reportedly "hiring scores of paid temp workers from temp agencies to help staff Brown's get-out-the-vote effort, work that's typically handled by unpaid volunteers."<Steve Benen> http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/
